Update, Matt Melcher conquered the grueling Spartan Ultra Beast. The Ultra Beast is 26 + Obstacle course at Killington Mt with near impossible obstacles. He finished 38th in Elite group. You are the man Melcher and we are so proud of you! Not just because you finished but the fact you continue throw your hat in the ring of these mentally daunting obstacle races and overcome with your mental grit!

    Nice quiet 930 class today. Just me, myself and I! Thanks for the efficiency tips on the pull ups Mike, They felt better once I started bringing my knees up. Started clean eating again yesterday. Cant wait to see how my WODs progress!

    Another great turnout for the 5am class. This Metcon was right up my alley. The key to this WOD was defintely pacing yourself. 24 minutes is a looooong time. Great work everyone

  5. Wow, awesome met con day!!! Got through 8 + 50 rounds of Emporium and took out the squats because of my knee and did single/double on the jump rope which was a first for me, the dubs are finally coming along!!!! HUGE WIN for me on those!

    I liked this one too–I kept moving and that’s been my goal lately. Thanks everyone for a great class! Thanks for the motivation as usual, Mike! It really helps me push myself every time.

  8. “Emporium” – 9+24

    A good, old fashioned body-weight long metcon! That was great and a great break in my recent routine.

    Stuck with doubling the single unders because, well….dubs are just not my thing. Other than that, Rx everything else. This was a great WOD layout too since you got little bits of break from each movement so I could go back to the bar and just jump up, get my 5 and then get to my push ups.

    Fun stuff! Great to see you both, Mike and Sarah! I’ll come back up for another visit soon.
