Clean Eating Recipes
We are in our first week of the Clean Eating Challenge and I bet some of you are wondering what can I cook that will also taste good? There are a lot of great sites out there like zonediet.com,  paleomg.com, civilizedcavemancooking.com, to name a few. But the best ideas come from you guys, the community. So if anyone has any great recipes or ideas let’s share them! Also, how is the challenge going? Lets hear about the good, the bad and what has been working for you!

    This was a great workout. I loved the combination of these two wods together. Made it a completely different type of suck from doing either one separately.

    Chris, I agree w you on this one! You definitely need to embrace the SUCK on this WOD!but it is well worth doing.

  3. Got after this wod yesterday. It will definitely test that mental toughness Mike was talking about the other day. You really need it to push through those last two rounds. Hell, you may even need it to convince yourself to show up for this one today 😉 But its a great feeling of accomplishment when you finish! Sorry I missed seeing the morning classes attack this one…it was my day to sleep in! Great work guys!

    Yeah, that was a tough long WOD. Is it called DT because when your done your hands are shaking like your having the DT’s? Great work 5a.m. and thanks Mike and PJ for keeping us motivated and pushing til the end. This one is definitely about your mental grit, not your magic grits.

    29:50. 65# – last set of pj@55#. Strict pushups first 2-3 rounds (don’t remember. it’s a bit of a fog..) Then knees. Red banded pull ups.

    Uhh holy crap! By round 3 I was so overwhelmed I couldn’t imagine actually finishing. I was pretty excited that last minute knowing it was possible if I could just get through those pushups! Awesome class!

    You know you had a good workout when scrambling and cooking eggs is just to much for your upper body. 😉

    Was not ready for this one today. Definitely ended up on the wrong side of the rope.
    Nice work 4:30, cool to see some new faces.

  7. I’m not going to lie I could barely type at work because of my forearms after this workout! Lol Great work 5am and great form! 🙂 thanks Mike & PJ for keeping us motivated

  8. I really contimplated doing the WOD today because I felt like it was going to be impossible. But I forced myself to go and I’m glad I did. Sarah and Mikes never ending motivation made the workout go by faster, and I can’t wait to take on more workouts like this one.

    28:50 55# ring rows and modified pushups.

    Great work 6 pm. I’m a morning guy so grinding out this one with the night crew was a challenge. Thanks for the motivation Team Burnes, much appreciated.

  10. At first I thought you guys were ducking this one based on the morning numbers. Nope, not at all. You guys braved the scary words and proved once again how tough physically and especially mentally you guys are. You grinded through a tough one and came out better athletes and people for it. Remember, lots of water and a good meal tonight. And mobility, mobility, mobility. Focus on those hammies as they will cause low back pain when really tight and left unchecked. Awesome work everyone see you all tomorrow at the white board and movie screen tomorrow night!

    1. My wife made the comment at dinner that she was actually worried that I was going to grab her plate and eat everything on it as well. 2 whole salmon filets and probably a pound of rice later and I’m finally settled.

    Awesome WOD! I was extremely surprised when I pulled into the parking lot today and had to pull around to the side of the building to find a parking spot. Being Friday and with the heat and humidity I didn’t think there would be a lot of people showing up tonight. Well I was proved wrong. Just goes to show what kind of community we have here. Its awesome to see everyone grind out all these WODs and not just showing up for the easy ones. Big classes and full white boards is what its all about. Great job to the 6pm class. We left a lot of sweat on the floor today. Not only are we getting better individually but we are also growing stronger as a box!! Looking forward to finally being able to watch Talladega Nights tomorrow!

    I was also intimidated by this one, but I also knew I had done some seemingly impossible WODs before when I thought I couldn’t! I originally had 65# but slid 10 pounds off right before starting–I’m glad I did and I’m glad I was able to keep moving through it. Thanks soooo much for all the encouragement, Sarah and Mike! I’m glad I didn’t miss out today but I’m sorry I won’t be here for movie night tomorrow. Have fun, everyone!

    Just when I thought I was done….. Realized I was two rounds short!!!! But glad I finished the right way….

    Inspired to see all the hard work everyone put into tonight’s 6pm class and get behind each to finish….even to the last second…. No one finished alone! Love how we rally behind each other!
